Longfin Grouper

Epinephelus quoyanus

Known for hanging out under rocks, bommies and other dark locations, the Longfin Grouper is one of the less attractive fish of the Whitsundays. On days off he will be caught pubcrawling in the Airlie Beach main street, and then be ejected from Paddy's at 1am for handling international tourists inappropriately.
